Filtration of 

industrial water

Filter presses act in the process of water filtration with a pressure dewatering that produces sludge, solidifying the particles in the water.


Thanks to pressure dewatering in the case of purification filtration, Fazzini filter presses transform waste water into sludge. That is, the waste particles in the water become solid, turning into waste, ready to be disposed of. This also plays a fundamental ecological role, i.e. depriving waste water of particles that could be harmful to the environment.

In the case of process filtration, on the other hand, Fazzini filter presses make it possible to recover the noble part that is dispersed in the water during the production process itself, such as in the mining industry.


In the water used during extraction, suspended particles of precious metals (e.g. lead, copper, zinc) can be found, which are then turned into solids and recovered for production.


Among other things, this type of filtration guarantees the best possible degree of dehydration, the so-called "highest dryness".

Filter presses with membrane plates allow further 'squeezing' of the sludge from the filtration process. This technology allows the so-called CAKE formed by the filtration process to be washed with water and blown with air.
Cake Washing allows you to:

  • Remove any contaminants in the sludge
  • Recovering any substances left inside the cake, which are the noble part of the process

Maintenance

In its production standards, FILTRI FAZZINI has always paid special attention to the efficiency of the filter press and its perfect operation. The filter press is a stationary machine with limited wear and tear (its components remain practically unchanged over time) and low operating and running costs. In addition, the required installed power is very low and only occasionally needs maintenance, requiring only occasional washing and cleaning.
